Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has given a vote of confidence to Gabriel Agbonlahor and insisted he has improved as a player this season.Agbonlahor has been on target 11 times during the current campaign but only twice in his last 14 appearances since netting a double in the 4-2 home win over Bolton in mid-December.
The England international missed a golden chance against Stoke in Villa's last home game when his side were leading 2-0 - and it proved costly as Tony Pulis' side hit back to earn a 2-2 draw.
But O'Neill has complete faith in Agbonlahor who often had to operate as a lone striker until the signing of Emile Heskey in January and the return to fitness of John Carew
