Salihamidzic believes lifting the title next year is a more realistic prospect, but claims Juve still have a lot to be proud of.
"Two years ago we were in Serie B," he added.
"We worked well and have gone through an important growing stages: last year we finished third in the league, we are second this year, next year...hopefully first.
"Ours is a group of extraordinary lads, who are all united, we're growing."
One player who will not be at the Stadio Olimpico next season is veteran Pavel Nedved, who announced his decision to retire at the end of the current campaign at the age of 36.
