Walters missed the 1-1 Championship draw with Blackpool at the weekend with a stomach bug while fellow forward Lisbie picked up a back condition in the warm-up.

Physio Matt Byard told the club's official website: "Kevin tweaked his back and had to have treatment and we couldn't put him on. We will have another look at him but he is obviously a concern for us."

Derby manager Nigel Clough will welcome back defender Jay McEveley for his side's clash at home to Blackpool on Wednesday.McEveley missed the 4-1 FA Cup defeat to Manchester United on Sunday through suspension but will return to the fold for the visit of the Seasiders to Pride Park. 

Clough has been boosted by the clean bill of health given to his squad following Sunday's mauling, meaning midfielder Stephen Pearson is likely to again make the bench as he continues his comeback from injury. 

Clough's only injury worry is striker Luke Varney, who is still a fortnight away from a return from his groin problem. 

The Rams are sitting down in 17th in the Championship, although they have won their last two league outings.

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has dismissed suggestions his side do not deserve to be challenging for a play-off spot in the Championship.City have won their last five games and are unbeaten in the league since before December. 

Johnson has however laughed off criticisms his side have merely been picking up points against weaker teams in the division - a charge levelled at his charges by opposing managers in the past weeks. 

"We have to give credit to the lads. I just feel they haven't been given enough credit for the run they've had - whether its locally or nationally," he told the club's official website. 

"Opposition managers keep saying they've slaughtered us in games but lost 2-0, or 2-1 in Norwich's case where 'the referee cost them the game'.

Burnley midfielder Chris McCann admits he would love to win full international honours with the Republic of Ireland.The Dubliner was sent home by Ireland Under-21s in November 2007 for refusing to be on the bench after being named among the substitutes. 

He regrets his reaction to what he considered a snub from the Under-21s coach Don Givens, and he has not been picked since. 

McCann, 21, said: "What happened with the Under-21s was an immature thing for me to do but I'd love to play for Ireland at some stage. 

"I have heard nothing from them since that incident. All I can do is keep working hard for Burnley and hope the situation changes."

Swansea's Dorus de Vries feels the fearless nature of opponents means English football is the toughest place to be a goalkeeper in the world.A scruffy set-piece goal denied the Swans an FA Cup win over Fulham last weekend and the 6ft 1in Dutchman is wary of the direct tactics often adopted in England. 

"I can tell you from the experience that is much harder to play as a goalkeeper in England because there is so much more work to do," de Vries told the South Wales Evening Post. 

"There are crosses coming in from everywhere. From corner kicks and free-kicks, everybody gets into the penalty box and starts annoying the goalkeeper. In Holland, for instance, the players back off. 

"They are a bit more scared - that's the mentality over there - whereas over here players just put their heads in to everything. If they head the post they don't care as long as the ball goes into the net."
